Description
WTW is looking for a professional to strengthen our benefits and actuarial team in Belgium. The future colleague will work in teams for clients in the Belgian and international environment.
As an Employee Benefits Consultant in our team, you will have the opportunity to practice your knowledge and develop your skills in both the pension fund and the group insurance market in Belgium. The client relationship building will be an important aspect of your daily job.
Besides your involvement in the technical aspects, you will also coordinate and financially manage/monitor the projects. The nature of the projects can be local or international. You will work within the WTW Belgian Retirement team, but you will have regular contact with other WTW colleagues all over the world through our strong international network.
The Role
You will lead/participate in projects related to benefit plans and work in teams together with your local and international colleagues. The nature of the projects varies and the variety gives many opportunities to grow as an all-round consultant. Some examples of recurrent projects are mentioned below:
Actuarial valuations for corporate reporting (USGAAP and IFRS) and statutory pension fund reporting including funding studies;
- Daily management and reporting/compliance of pension funds;
- Plan (re)design studies including actuarial modelling, implementation and employee communication;
- Benefit audit and benchmarking studies;
- Asset/liability modelling studies;
- Employee communication exercises;
- Merger & Acquisition studies.
Qualifications
The Requirements
- A degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Economics is preferred. Other diplomas/qualifications can also be considered depending on skills and previous experience;
- At least 5 years of experience in employee benefits in an actuarial consulting firm, insurance company, brokerage firm, financial institution or similar experience;
- Interested to work in an international company;
- A good knowledge of the English language in combination with Dutch or French;
- Good IT skills, mainly experience in using MS Office;
- Strong communicator, detail oriented, analytical thinking and flexible personality
- You thrive in collaborative team environments and enjoy working with others to achieve our goals.
