Job Description

The Director, Risk Management shall be responsible for leading the ongoing implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework within the company. On a broad level, this shall involve directing the enhancement of ROSHN’s existing risk capability and maturing of the risk program within the business.
The Director shall lead all corporate risk management activities within the company. In particular, this involves the development and maintenance of the Risk Management Policy, the Risk Appetite and Tolerance Statements, Enterprise Risk Management Manual, Key Risk Indicators and all associated governance and documentation requirements. Moreover, it involves conducting financial risk assessments related to ROSHN’s operations and projects.
The Director shall also lead all risk management reporting requirements to all stakeholders, including but not limited to financial performance, such as IRR, NPV, Revenue, Costs and Profits. The stakeholders include Senior Management, Board of Directors, Audit Committee and PIF. The Director shall lead the timely production and submission of high-quality reports to these stakeholder groups and support the Senior Director of Risk as the focal point for risk within the company.
The Director shall lead the preparation and maintenance of Enterprise Risk Registers and the enhancement of risk culture within the organization through the delivery of a robust program of training, development and awareness for all risk stakeholders within the organization.

Responsibilities

Supports the Senior Director of Risk Management in the successful roll out of the company’s risk management program.
Responsible for assisting the Senior Director of Risk Management in delivering the company’s Risk Management Strategy in addition to the day-to-day operations of the Enterprise Risk Management Department.
Responsible for the identification and appropriate management of risks in coordination with relevant Departments, including but not limited to Finance, Investments, Treasury, Asset Management, etc.
Responsible for developing appropriate risk management reporting mechanisms which include creating and presenting reports to ROSHN Senior Management, Audit Committee and Board of Directors. This includes reports on the financial and operational performance of the Company (covering indicators such as, Revenue, Costs, Profitability, Project IRR, NPV, Margins, Capital Adequacy, etc.) as per the ERM Manual, Risk Appetite Statements and other applicable documents.
Responsible for implementing tools and techniques for risk quantification (e.g., tenant’s default, revenue losses, etc.), for an accurate assessment of the impact of risk on ROSHN, in alignment with approved Risk Impact Scale.
Responsible for the evaluation of third parties for their financial and operational strength. This includes the analysis of financial statements, key ratios (such as leverage, profitability, liquidity, etc.) and other non-financial parameters prior to entering into agreements.
Responsible for developing process level risks and controls and aligning with Management for Corporate Functions.
Responsible for implementing and overseeing the risk training and development program for Functional Risk Champions to ensure overall risk capability within the business.
Responsible for owning the ERM risk management software and systems, and for their integration of use within the overall risk management methodology.
Responsible for the management and development of the entire Enterprise Risk Management Department, including annual objective setting and performance management.

Qualifications

10 -12 years of experience within of risk management/ enterprise risk management or risk assurance, gained either in-house or within a consulting firm.
Bachelor or Master’s degree in a suitably relevant field i.e. Business, Management, Finance, Accounting, etc.
Professional certification in risk management, from a recognized risk management body such as the Institute of Risk Management (IRM).

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management program across the enterprise.
Oversee identification, assessment and prioritization of operational, strategic, compliance and reputational risks.
Implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies and controls to minimize risk exposure.
Monitor effectiveness of risk management strategies and controls and make improvements as needed.
Establish risk management policies, procedures, processes and reporting mechanisms.
Communicate key risks, issues and analyses to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
Foster a culture of risk awareness and compliance throughout the organization.
Manage risk management team including assigning work, establishing goals, coaching and evaluating performance.
Keep abreast of changes to laws and regulations and ensure continuous compliance.
Build relationships with external auditors, regulators and other stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of risk management processes and tools.

Qualifications

10+ years of related risk management experience in a large organization, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
Bachelors degree required, Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications preferred (CRISC, CISA, etc.).
Thorough understanding of risk management frameworks and best practices.
Strong leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
