About the Role

Tonomus – Compute is hiring an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support a groundbreaking data center project in NEOM, Saudi Arabia. This position offers the opportunity to lead the full lifecycle of electrical engineering—from concept through commissioning—for one of the world’s most innovative digital infrastructure developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical system design for NEOM’s data center infrastructure.
  • Oversee switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, ATS, PDUs, and backup battery systems.
  • Manage documentation, BIM/CAD design coordination, and procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with global standards (Uptime, ANSI/TIA, ISO) and NEOM directives.
  • Conduct tender reviews, equipment submittal approvals, and on-site system audits.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to deliver scalable and energy-efficient solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (MBA or PMP is a plus).
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in large-scale projects.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred.
  • Experience in fast-track design/build data center construction.
  • Proficiency with Autodesk BIM/CAD is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

Senior Environmental Planning & Performance Manager

Role Summary

The Senior Environmental Planning and Performance Manager will oversee strategic environmental planning, sustainability compliance, and KPI performance monitoring for the development of Trojena. This role is pivotal in ensuring adherence to national and international environmental standards, including ISO 14001, IFC Performance Standards, and ESG frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop yearly environmental strategies aligned with NEOM’s sustainability goals.
  • Lead Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA, ESIA), site surveys, and technical studies.
  • Conduct environmental reviews of project designs and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Implement environmental performance monitoring, including carbon footprint and lifecycle analysis.
  • Oversee environmental permitting and interface with compliance and regulatory teams.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on sustainability targets and environmental KPIs.
  • Train and mentor environmental professionals, ensuring project-wide environmental alignment.
  • Ensure sustainability practices in energy, waste, water, and biodiversity conservation are integrated into all phases of project development.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in environmental management, compliance, or performance monitoring.
  • Demonstrated leadership in sustainable development and international environmental standards (e.g., IFC, ISO, ESG).
  • Hands-on experience with data analytics for environmental metrics such as GRI, TCFD, and carbon accounting.
  • Strong project management, stakeholder communication, and team leadership skills.
  • Experience on mega-projects or externally financed developments is highly preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, LEED AP, or IEMA are a strong advantage.
