About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior QSA Engineer to lead quality assurance and control operations for complex marine and offshore projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that engineering and construction processes meet strict regulatory, customer, and internal standards. Reporting to the Head of QSA, this position plays a pivotal role in defect prevention, client inspections, and compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead quality control and quality assurance initiatives across multiple marine and offshore engineering projects.
• Review and validate material certifications (chemical, mechanical) against international standards such as ASME.
• Oversee preparation of inspection and testing documents: ITPs, NDT plans, PQR, WPS, and welder qualifications.
• Coordinate stage-wise inspections with clients and class surveyors.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and incoming material inspections to ensure conformance.
• Assist in planning audits and internal walkthroughs; lead quality awareness campaigns and training sessions.
• Manage quality documentation, KPIs, and participate in lessons learned initiatives for continual improvement.

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Minimum Diploma in Naval Architecture, Mechanical/Marine/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Valid CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector certification (or equivalent).

Experience

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in shipbuilding, repair, or offshore construction.
• Hands-on experience with QA/QC planning, NDT interpretation, and project-based quality systems.

Key Competencies

• Strong knowledge of welding standards, NDT methods (MT, PT, UT, RFI), and material inspections.
• Understanding of offshore structures (jackets, topsides) and related codes/standards.
• Excellent communication, report writing, and leadership skills.
• Ability to coach and guide junior engineers and interface with clients.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and documentation systems under IMS.
